Great Wedding
I went to a great wedding recently. The whole thing was great fun and everything was done to keep the guests entertained and happy, which was fantastic. The ceremony itself was taken very seriously but everything afterwards was light-hearted. The groom is Australian and he gave his groomsmen great groomsmen gifts. I thought it was a really great wedding, probably the best I have been to. I guess the fact that it was all so relaxed, so much fun but also well organised with lovely food and plenty of drink was what made it such a great occasion.They all had personalized koozies which I thought was typically Australian as we do not get them in the UK, I guess the weather is not warm enough for a beer to get warm! The bride’s father and grooms father had rather less casual gifts - they had personalized shot glasses which I thought were great. The girls did not have alcohol based gifts but had some lovely jewellery because they were chosen by the bride. There was quite a lot of Australian influence in the reception with some Australian flowers on the tables and some Australian songs at the disco. I thought it was a really great wedding, probably the best I have been to.
